The mission of GFPHE is to facilitate communication and collaboration among health professionals in order to develop, support and improve health promotion and health education in Georgia.

To achieve the mission, GFPHE strives to:

• Promote coordination and interaction of health promotion and education programs
  
• Provide a forum for the exchange of professional health information
  
• Further communication and cooperation among health professionals and organizations in health and related areas
  
• Develop awareness of the importance of health promotion and education in the prevention and alleviation of societal problems
  
• Encourage the development of effective educational programs designed to prepare qualified health education professionals
  
• Unify support for quality health education programs in school, community, medical care and worksite settings
  
• Promote the acceptance of health education as an integral part of the medical care delivery system
