Standing Committees
Advocacy Committee
The role of the Advocacy Commitee is to review and report to the Board of Directors on all health education legislation; to recommend official positions which GFPHE should take with respect to proposed legislation and to plan and promote education programs for legislators with respect to health education legislation which may be necessary or desirable. The committee shall disseminate information to the membership and the public dealing with objectives and activities of the organization.
Membership Committee
The role of the Membership Committee is to increase the membership; to develop suggestions for meeting the needs of the membership; to review membership procedures and classifications; and enhance networking opportunities among members.
Ad Hoc Committees
Award Selection Committee
The role of the Award Selection Committee is to solicit and review nominations for the Distinguished Service to GFPHE Award,
GFPHE Health Education Practice Award, and
GFPHE Health Education Newcomer
Award.
Conference Planning Committee
The role of the Conference Planning Committee is to be responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the statewide GFPHE Annual Meeting.
Continuing Education Commitee
The role of the Continuing Education Committee is to secure continuing education for GFPHE conferences.
Financial Planning and Development Committee
The role of the Financial Planning and Development Committee is to consider the long-range financial needs of the organization and to develop, implement, and evaluate programs to meet those needs. To act as the internal audit team of the organization.
Nominations Committee
The role of the Nominations Committee is to develop a slate of nominees, with acceptance in writing, and to conduct the mail ballot election of officers.
Strategic Planning Committee
The role of the Strategic Planning Committee is to work with the Financial Planning and Development Committee to prioritize future directions and initiatives for the organization.
